Europe definitely has some aspects that are positive examples for America. And I agree with you that our biggest fault is egotism.

If we can't find a way to see Iraqis as our brethren we will never succeed in building with them and for them a new Iraq. We need their help more than they need ours right now.

The UN and European Union have become weak in resolving real conflict for the same reason we are having so much trouble now. More of their activity is focused on posturing than on doing the right things.
