Oh, I'm so tired of this bs. Saddam was responsible for those deaths, Saddam! Not the US. Not even France, Russia or Germany, who supplied most of his weapons.

This is the all-purpose anti-US argument. If bad stuff happens and we don't stop it, it shows it's our fault. If we do try to stop it, we're imperialists. This argument covers all cases, and is regularly used to blame us equally for the realpolitik of the 80s, the sanctions of the 90s and the Iraq War of 2003.
