In fact, how can CBS even contemplate such a combination -- and without the approval of those involved?

Yet another clue to the extreme "volatility" of the current state of affairs in America... As I said before, the coming presidential election will not be "just-another-election". Bipartisanship at the very top of the US executive --isn't that a premiere? As I recall, it can happen at the Cabinet level: Prez Clinton picked Republican Sen Bill Cohen as Secr. of Defense, for instance. BTW, it further validates my view on the rampant Israelization of the US: a Kerry-McCain ticket somehow mirrors the Sharon-Peres alliance of 2000....
