IT is the industry of the future and thus it attracted an enormous following -- the latest "tulip mania. Gold is merely a "barbarous relic" which, from time-to-time, interests those who believe in its alleged safe-haven status.

I understand that but, nevertheless, you are still gambling that many others will see things the way you do.

IMO, the gold price has little to do with value, except as a USD hedge. There is no increase in demand for the metal in its own right.
