<<<the futures markets have priced in a Fed Funds rate of 3-3.5 percent, from what I have read in Barron's. It would take 4 half-point rate hikes by the Fed to get from 1 percent to 3 percent. And we still have the governor of the St. Louis Fed warning about the risks in mortgage-backed securities.
I'm not talking about today or next week, I'm talking about what things look like 6-9 months from now. Lower oil prices could be a nice painkiller for the monetary tightening ahead.>>

Market is a facinating operation even if its not easy to make a living. I wondered why builders like Lena and Bhz have not moved much for 6 months- and it appears fear
has kept them down. Probably the fear is overdone with the uncertainty of the terrorist situation.
Remove some of the fear and we should be headed up. Seems to be plenty of rich people left, to see all the 10's of million shares being offered on IPO's and on secondary offerings.

I have always considered that the public will ultimately pay for government spending , protection of the homeland, and oil through inflation. But they keep telling us inflation is no problem.

I think they forgot about housing costs, and now gas costs as there seems to be a heck of an increase with the prices going up.

I am not comfortable with the 'spend today and pay tommorrow with cheaper dollars' concept but it has worked
for 50 years so why cant it keep going?

Many conpanies like NT and Glw plus lots of others got in trouble doing that, but they are not the government with the ability to print money.

The local economy never stopped growing -construction everywhere. They have riding movers at the stores costing up to $5 k lined up like cars in a sales lot.

I dont see how we could handle expansion at a greater rate than in Houston, Ft Worth, Austin, - they may have to tear buildings down soon in order to build new ones as is done in LA.
Well, not yet, as there are lots of ranches left on the outskirts.

I see lots of opportunities in companies that supply the homeowners -pet supplies, ranch supplies, gardening and lawns. Animal medicines.

<<< Only Greenie knows for sure.>>
Thats the truth.
