My sinuses have me up again early this AM. While draining, I thought I'd log on and check out the boards. Not much on the boards since the close yesterday. Actually, there is little on SI anytime now days.. I received another e-mail from TradeStation regarding their coming EXPO. They want a lot of extra bucks to attend the Linda Bradford Raschke seminars. 18 months or so ago, I made a decision to check out some of these trading rooms as they were offered for a free trail. One of the rooms I dropped in on was moderated by Linda Bradford Raschke. Frankly, I found it a total waste of time and came away from the experience just shaking my head and thinking I can not believe people pay for this crap and she is supposed to be one of the best! A couple of days were all I could tolerate. I also dropped in on a couple of trading rooms being offered for free, each operated by one of two of the SI/IHub self proclaimed gurus. I have to tell you I do not see how these trading rooms keep folks as I found each of these rooms equally worthless. The attraction for the self proclaimed gurus is obvious; this is how they make their money. They don't have to actually trade their “calls” to make money; they derive their income from their subscribers. As with Linda Raschke, a couple of days was all I could tolerate. I've not seen one of these trading room gurus offer a verifiable trading record in the form of brokerage account records verifying they actually trade as advertised and how that trading translates into to profits or not! Each has his or her own style of promoting him or herself. One is much more “in your face” than the other, but in the end they are both mining the message boards for subscribers. Regards, LG
