The way various Train Wreck conditions are coming together, a "Memorial Day Weekend Massacre" could bring down the whole western economic edifice. What I don't get though is why these jihadists attack innocent people, and not economic targets? Why a compound, instead of this? foi.missouri.edu If they do a chemical or a dirty bomb in the US against our fellows, that will just unify everybody, all differences will be put aside: Pearl Harbor stuff, 9-11 magnified. Is that their objective? However, if it were major economic targets it would strike at the heart of the "system", and most Americans have little understanding of how that works. The reaction to such economic fallout would be fingerpointing, confusion, and typical scapegoating. It would effective, and logically would seem to me to be the strategy they end up employing. But maybe they truly are just a stupid enemy?
