Why was Bush AWOl on terror before and during 9-11? When you answer that question, then you might have the right to point your finger at anyone else. Bush was in charge of the government, not Democrats. 9-11 happened on his watch after he was clearly warned. Kerry himself warned Bush and Clinton in a major speech. Bush chose to ignore terrorism as an issue until it became politically necessary, then he used terrorism as an excuse to invade oil-rich Iraq where there was almost no terrorism, ignoring the real hiding places of Al Qaida in the process, including all his pals in Saudi Arabia.
