Free trade in the manner proposed and passes is the equivalent of Worldwide redistribution of wealth. In this redistribution of wealth/jobs, everybody will be poor. The standard of living of those in Central America will be raised but they will still be poor. Americans standard of living will fall. The Cental American treaty is really bad agreement. If you are going to have free trade it has to be fair trade. To join the EU a country has to meet a rigorous economic test. The CAFTA and NAFTA dont have those economic test protections. CAFTA and NAFTA are essentially the equivalent of joing the US as a State. There are no tariffs between States. We have free trade between States.
