Gee Uncle, you military guys are convincing today and with some heart in your comments. I suppose it's the aftermath of Memorial Day and reflection on the serious side of life.

Thanks for your posts and your service in defence of civilization, freedom and individuals.

On Boykin, I've poked fun at him for his comment about whose supernatural spook is bigger and tougher.

We all say silly things from time to time and if I had a microphone shoved in my mouth and comment was asked for, I'm sure I'd embarrass myself several times a day with inane, stupid or plain wrong comments and ideas. I suppose Boykin's silly comment was one of those instances. Maybe.

People poke fun at President Bush too, but I've listened to him speaking off the cuff from time to time and he seems fine to me. Not as good as Clinton but not bad. Even the messed up things that have been reported usually make sense if I look for his meaning, rather than parsing the words for grammar, structure and logic.

But I'm not a General, nor a President, so they have to have high standards and face the criticisms that I don't have to. When they expose Waco ideas, such as religious nutiness, it's scary to those of us who don't believe in crusades, Armageddon, Jihad and the rapture.
