Sarmad - Were you drafted into the Vietnam War? Do you think the country would be forced to see things your way if there was a draft? Would they all come to your belief that we are just wasting lives and money to protect Israel?

I agree that there are many merits to a draft or some form of forced national service. But I think a cheaper and more effective method would be to raise compensation levels as required to attract and retain the required personnel.

Most Americans dont even know where Israel is on the globe. But they know their incomes and our way of life is dependent on a stable flow of oil from the Persian Gulf. Many Americans have been to the Persian Gulf over the last 20 years. Many Americans a very aware that having Islamofascists in control of oil producing areas would be something quite devastating to the USA and the world.

But for you it is simple, the problem is Israel and not hundreds of millions of Muslims who blame Israel and the West for their inability to lead themselves out of poverty and desperation.
