Assured that the ABC News camera accompanying the entourage had not captured Kerry’s fall, the Senator glared at your sloping Noter (that would be ABC’s The Note, Ed O’Keefe) and assured, “I don’t fall down. That son of a bitch ran into me.”

That's what I thought happened.

Later, the Kerry camp said Kerry was joking .. O'Keefe was there and reported what Kerry said to him. Did O'Keefe say it was a joke?

Nor did these strategists actually think that this incident schools us about Kerry’s character.
If they think that, they'd be wrong. Most people recognize poor handling of little day-to-day problems is likely indicative of a character problem.

It's a shame the Democratic voters made such a poor choice but I think it's wrong to blame it on the press or "Republican operatives". IMO they had a couple better choices.
