Net2Phone Bags Bresnan, Launches Liberty

Bresnan Communications announced plans to deploy Net2Phone's outsourced VoIP solution, starting immediately with an undisclosed market. Bresnan passes more than 500,000 homes in the U.S. Additionally, Net2Phone inked a distribution deal with Northland Cable Television, which passes more than 315,000 U.S. homes. Northland is expected to begin deploying VoIP with Net2Phone this summer.

Following an extended market trial, Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico Inc. launched residential IP telephony service to 300,000 homes passed using Net2Phone's managed cable VoIP service. Liberty's VoiceLinks service offers a choice of five calling plans, with packages starting at $24.95 per month, including unlimited local calling, 911 service, discounted long distance calling and 16 premium features. Under the terms of its Net2Phone service agreement, Liberty Cablevision maintains ownership of the customer, service brand, and Tier I customer and technical support, while Net2Phone supports the back office platform, switching and transport, ongoing operations and Tier II technical support.
