<..didn't do several things which may have prevented the attack from happening.>

1) The predator unmanned plane which was deployed over Afghanistan to look for bin Laden was grounded so they could arm it with the Hellfire missile. It was successfully tested (with the missile) in February of 2001 but junior never ordered it deployed again until after 9-11. There is a good chance bin Laden would not have been alive in Sept of 2001 if junior had ordered it back in action.

2) Junior made the order of "hands off" investigations into the bin Laden family and even into part of the investigations into Ossama himself.

3) Junior ordered the submarines which Clinton had deployed in Cruise Missile range of Afghanistan out of the area not long after being appointed president. These submarines were not put back into the theater until after 9-11.

4) Junior's administration put the war against terrorism on the back burner after he took office. Then he turned the burner off until after 9-11.

5) In the 9-11 hearings all that any of junior's people could point at as something he had done to fight terrorism during his first 8 months was his remark one day that he was tired of swatting at flies.

6) Junior's preoccupation with Iraq instead of concentrating on bin Laden was a mistake. These resources may have been able to turn up evidence of the upcoming attack if not directed elsewhere.

7) Even after the August 6th memo which warned him of an attack could happen at any time he still chose to do nothing. He stayed on vacation for over 3 more weeks after getting the memo. He returned on a Friday night. There was no other reason for him to return on a Friday night other than to keep from breaking the record for the longest presidential vacation on record. His vacation was 1 day shorter than the record. I think he left DC to spend the weekend at Camp David the next day.

8) This one can't be blamed directly on junior but part of the blame goes to him for not putting the CIA, FBI and other agencies on high alert to things which might relate to an attack. --- In the 10 days or so before the 9-11 attack the short position in stocks which were bound to go down after the attack skyrocketed. Someone somewhere in our government should have been on top of this.

9) He appointed too many people to high positions who seem to have put the best interests of Israel above the US's.

10) He fired several people who were trying to educate him about the threat of terrorism. He either didn't consider it to be enough of a problem or he was thinking that if there was a terrorist attack his response to it would help his popularity more than preventing an attack.

Is 10 enough?
