Nicely done. I guess we could agree to disagree. I do think our "leaders" use christianity and reglion to further some bastardly agendas. But, I think religion is just the vehicle used to further those agendas, not an end in itself. After all, how religious are our "leaders" anyway? They're using religion for purposes of power and control. Even the recent embrace of Isreal by the neoCONS is probably more motivated by the political advantage that it gives them as a wedge issue to win over jewish voters and to keep their own conservative Christain faithful riled up about something, to keep them in line, rather than any real religous motivation to save Isreal. If they really wanted to save Isreal, perhaps they'd be working towards a peace settlement to ensure that it survives?!? Strange bedfellows as they say.
