I think one thing that Cheri Jacobus fails to mention is that Kerry's constituents, who elected him to represent them, have been happy with his performance. Or else why would they elect him 4 times, if he was doing such a bad job. It is not Cheri Jacobus' personal opinion that counts. It is the opinion of those who elect him.

Similarly, it is the opinion of the American people which will count in November. And indication, from the bark of the right wing growing louder, is that increasing number of Americans are considering Kerry over Bush. They are realizing that Bush is useless. The papers have started to notice and highlight for their readers that Bush ads are extremely negative since he does not have a positive record to run on. This thought is already starting to take hold in the minds of the public. And Kerry has started to surge.
