IBM has changed in a great many ways. I believe it will transition to a "services" company, and eventually get out of hardware completely (or maybe contract hardware out to others for manufacture).
If it can do this well, it should be able to grow faster than the market. The biggest problem is its size. It is hard for a multi-billion dollar company to sustain double digit growth.
