The big problem with XDSL technologies is that they are point-to-point, locking in your connection. The beauty of dial-up ISDN is its switchable connectivity. You get to choose your connection, choose your providers. Choice is important! I don't want to be locked into my RBOC or my cable company.
And another point, once you've used an ISDN voice set, with its many features, you'll never go back to POTS again!
