no offense to you, Q

i wish i could say i found that amusing. i wish i could find something about Kerry that was amusing. but what i am finding is that our country is in trouble no matter who wins the november election.

all i am finding is divisiveness at every turn.

Bush isn't the culprit. half the voting public picked him as their man.

it's each other we are really pissed off at. it's each other who we have to save, or persuade or inform or help.

but as a populace we no longer seem content to go along with what the elected official decides, or says, or does.

the elected official can no longer be allowed to do his job without being torn apart.

and for what good? the good of the country? how can it be good... what we all say about political opponents? how can we hope for peace and prosperity and respect for america when we seem so incapable of giving it and living it even on a small scale.

i don't know where we can turn anymore. Bush? Kerry? ourselves? can we save ourselves? can we lead ourselves out of this condition? will we let a man or woman do his or her best, and support them because fellow americans elected them?

or have we all become a society of potshotters.... unsettled individuals who only know how to complain, and who are apparently authorities on all subjects, from modern warfare to economics to religion and education.

how is it that we are going to ever, EVER come together as a people and work towards a common goal of good?

it's not about Bush and it's not about Kerry. we are missing everything if we think it is.

it's us, and we are blowing it.
