Some helpful information in assessing the MR market.

Source: wiproge.com

"The new system, the GE Signa OpenSpeed, was developed at a cost of more than $30 million to serve the $2.5 billion global MRI market. The GE Signa OpenSpeed has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is currently commercially available. GE expects to install nearly 100 of the systems around the world by the end of 2000."

Compare the FONAR MRI revenues to the $2.5 BILLION annually spent (systems, options, technical service, other support) on MR in the world. What does that tell you? GE was expecting 100 sales in 2000. SIEMENS, HITACHI, TOSHIBA and Picker accounted for similar numbers.

++++++++ Lets say with the demise of Picker, and be conservative, that is 300+ open MR systems sold world wide per year, or 1200 since FONAR started selling the SU. +++++++++[[[ What does that tell you? ]]]

So as I read it from ,

6/1/2000 - 5/31/2001 Fonar sold 2 Stand Ups out of the INDUSTRIES 400 WORLD WIDE or a 1/2 of 1% MARKET SHARE of ALL NEW OPEN MRI business for the year .

6/1/2001 - 5/31/2002 Fonar sold 19 Stand Ups out of the INDUSTRIES 400 WORLD WIDE or a 4 3/4% MARKET SHARE of ALL NEW OPEN MRI business for the year .

6/1/2002 - 5/31/2003 Fonar sold 19 Stand Ups out of the INDUSTRIES 400 WORLD WIDE or a 4 3/4% MARKET SHARE of ALL NEW OPEN MRI business for the year .

6/1/2003 - 5/31/2004 Fonar sold 38 Stand Ups out of the INDUSTRIES 400 WORLD WIDE or a 9 1/2% MARKET SHARE of ALL NEW OPEN MRI business for the year .

So [[[[ WHAT DOES THAT TELL ME ]]]] ?

THat tells me that IN SPITE of the 10 points on how BAD FONAR and their management are doing ,

Dr. Damadian is approaching 10% MARKET SHARE WORLD WIDE in OPEN MRI BUSINESS according to NUMBERS furnished by MRI_SOF who some felt is an EXPERT in the field .

Some say Wall Street is not paying attention and point to the stock price as their proof .

Well I GUARANTEE you one thing folks the BIG BOYS are PAYING ATTENTION .

They don't like losing 10% of their business to a co. with BAD MANAGEMENT that has NO IDEA what they are doing .
