But Thomas, the difference is Israel isn't killing millions and millions of people.

This is not to justify Israel govt's overly aggressive attack. I think the Lukid party has the wrong approach.

Sometimes the Israel govt is much too aggressive, it would appear. Maybe it comes from a perspective of too many centuries of being persecuted - to the point where it is overly aggressive, which isn't helpful to them or anyone.

The Israeli govt needs to think from the perspective of a larger power now, not their previously persecuted position. A giant needs to realize when it's become a giant and act accordingly rather than destructively. Same goes for our country too.

Giants should walk softly. Wasn't that Roosevelt who said that?

This post is also not to justify the religious racism that exists in Israel according to my Israeli Jewish contacts, where Muslims are apparently treated as a subclass of people - they go to different schools, intermarriages are considered inappropriate, etc. Things there are really different than the USA, in such regards. Rather sad.

Regards,
Amy J
