It seems odd that our Courts expect a newly convicted felon to accept responsibility for their crime to lessen the sentence, while an appeal is still pending.

On one hand the convict is still fighting the conviction and has every right to do so, and on the other, the Court says, "admit it now, or risk more time in jail."

I think that factor in sentencing is unfair and should be challenged.
