Hi, qh.

As you probably have a lot of expertise in the energy field, you probably know this--peak global production of oil may have already taken place or is about to take place. Unfortunately, peak production is coinciding with peak consumption. Thus, the era of cheap oil is over, kaput. The real pinch will begin to be felt sometime this decade.

Got this informaton from The National Geographic, an old, dull magazine that is having a very interesting renaissance.

The economics of oil supply and demand in the next few years is a phenomenon which will create many interesting investment opportunities which I am just now beginning to think about. Unfortunately, the political aspects of the coming energy crisis are factors that make any assessment of investment risks and rewards very difficult to deal with.
