Just trying to determine if you just thought that AMERICA was 'sick'... or the ENTIRE WORLD was 'sick'.
I think moral sickness is the human condition, but that Americans of the past knew how to manage it better than so-called "Americans" of today. I think, as a result of their self-knowledge, real Americans militated against human weakness by vigorously teaching morality in every place. They were not perfect people, but they were moral and could generally enjoy the benefits of being moral.
Today's Americans are immoral, generally. They now merely enjoy the last bits of morality handed to them by their ancestors.
Surely, if morality is lower here then elsewhere in the world, you must be able to name some place that is 'more moral'.
You must try to understand that I honor past American generations and the country they built above all other generations and countries, including the modern American generation and its increasingly abominable country. Past America had its flaws, severe flaws, but it was a better, freer place than what is developing today. My point is not to compare America to some country that never has embraced the American philosophy that I honor. It is instead to compare modern America to what she used to be. America has within its grasp the opportunity to deliberately preserve the good that still exists in her, while recapturing the good of the past. Of course she can never exploit the opportunity now because of "cultural diversity" and all manner of leftist horse hockey. So she is certain to suffer and crumble as we know her, come her next test. But if she would maintain her character (which she will not), she must do it by employ moral teaching. No amount of money will help her.
If not, then your complaint is against the world, not merely America.
The world is not my concern.
(You also said 'your' a lot. As if this was not your native land, Johannes.
It is not. I am a child of Old America, the land of the free. You are a child of modern America, the land of legal child murderers, sodomites and free "healthcare."
Now you side-step the question ["meaning for the word 'hail.' "] of where you are from.
Didn't sidestep it. It is just irrelevant. Most people here know where I live. I have said it here enough times. Some even know where I was born, as I have shared that too. So, I certainly have no issues here, except that it is irrelevant to this discussion. |
