Some people say that, but at the risk of making the SI's most unpopular subject one message richer, I'll say that think they are wrong. Bush is a great leader, one who knows what he wants and how to organize people to get it. I read his and McCain's books before deciding who to vote for, and there's no contest. Certainly Kerry poses no threat as the world's most boring presidential candidate (except for his photo-op with Hanoi Jane, where he reveals his true colors). Bush inherited a complex situation from Clinton, with a weakened, stretched thin military. He motivated the country after 9/11, and has acted resolutely on every subject. Only the Bush haters can't see that, and they have no reason other than their own embarrassment with the previous president.
