What muslims in general worry about is one thing. But what particularly provokes palestinians is the continuous encroachment on water resources, land taken for settlements and especially the palestinian farm-land that is taken for special roads for the settlements. The checkpoints, curfews. The blockades that prevent movement. And the daily humiliations that purposefully want to shout ("Zionists won. Palestinians lost." each and every day many times a day.

Now you might say, so what. Populations are slaughtered in many places. Who cares about palestinians. Fine you can do that. The specific problem in the US is that it is empowered by US financing and weapons.

What I find amazing is the acceptance of the tradition of US senatorial and presidential candidates going to Israel to campaign. That this is seen as routine is amazing to me.
