John: A couple more points and questions.

Why are you not following industry group RS?

Please explain why you disagree that PB is CANSLIM?

And, ORBKF and MIND were never "excluded" under the system. The only reason YOU excluded them is because of your over reliance upon Merit Ranking. As I understand Merit Ranking it is a discretionary part of the PB system, not a mandatory screening requirement. Also, I don't think you liked the chart on MIND.

Finally, "testing" the system means, to me, finding the best way to secure the best return with the least room for losses through high flying volatility and emotional frailty. If "testing" to you means blindly picking a bundle of stocks and seeing how they do, well......

I am not trying to improve the system, I am trying to figure out how best to cull from the screened stocks. Merit Ranking is not the way, IMO, and apparently in Mr. Ford's. Industry RS has great merit, IMO, as does picking between a big unwieldy laggard and a smaller growth stock.

Regards.
