Heck no...after the invasion there was a whole lot more at stake...and that is why a strongly worded warning was needed up front.

LOL. It took one day for Saddam to take over Kuwait, and nearly without a single shot. Nothing at stake at all. A minor military maneuver that cost him more in gasoline than lives, bullets, or time. He could have left the very next day, when told to do so. Or did he think that Glaspie had greater authority than Bush I and the UN Security Council?

Speaking of the UN Security Council, I'm still shocked and amazed that he defied its unanimous vote, aren't you? Simply stunning.

The US "green light" for Saddam to invade Iraq is a canard. But you've taken positions for some time that are "quacked."
