Wstera-02: Bias may not stink!

Bias may not even be liberal!

Bias may not be recognized or admitted to be bias by the reporting media!

But bias is still bias.

Bias is one's predisposition to believe in a certain way or disbelieve as the case may be.

Our bias determines how we look at things.

Our bias determines how we interpret certain things.

Our bias effectively conditions and predetermines how the connective tissue in our brain and heart and soul permits thoughts and emotions to coalesce into beliefs and convictions.

We are all biased. Some of us recognize that fact and accept that fact and are honest enough with ourselves and with others to admit that fact.

And most of the time most of us are confident enough of the 'correctness' of our bias that we are not particularly disturbed by those whose set of biases contradict those which characterize us and color our responses to individuals and events in our world.

That's just the way that things are in an open and free society where we have the freedom to believe what we believe, to express those beliefs, and to continue to act on the basis of those beliefs.
