There are a lot of people doing work on these enzymes, now that I have researched it. GERN not only has a lot of competition, but everyone is pretty close to the same level as them in them studying this topic. Here's some links, GERN is not unique at all, they wrote an article, and were able to clone the human part, but many people are doing this sort of thing. This first one is a lady who cloned found the gene first and was able to clone it in animals two years ago! She was working on doing the human variant, and may have already done it. cshl.org GERN won't have any products for a long time that will affect the companies financial condition, and when they do, their will be plenty of competitive products.
