Energy is the #1 issue but specifics cannot be decided during an election, it's too touchy. Too many special interests that might be stirred up. In 2000, Bush made fun of Gore for wanting people to get solar panels on their homes. He mocked Gore and put him down as some kind of a wimp for not wanting to burn fossil fuels. And it worked. Ridiculous but true.

This country is weird about gasoline. They still have a love affair of it. That has to be gradually broken. There is nothing macho about gasoline or pollution or making Arabs rich. Power is power. So let's start working to cleanse our power future. WQe can gradually weakn ourselves off gasoline and oil. There are a few technological hurdles to get over but we can make it. I've actually read a lot about solar and hydrogen. Wind power I'm not an expert on.
