The truth is that both approaches are necessary. As long as both sides spit at the other defending the two extremes of the issue we get nowhere.

Get this! I think a tax on gasoline is a good idea. I think that that tighter mandatory fuel standards are good ideas. I think it is absolutely necessary to expand the supply of energy too so that the economy can grow. Currently the consumption of electricity is apporximately 4% up over last year. Why - because believe it or not the economy is growing. Where is the new supply going to come from - especially if the older less efficient dirty plants are phased out. IMO - time to think of nuclear energy! It is clean, green and I believe safely imlemented.

Also, for those of you still in a H2 frame of mind - it takes a lot of electicity to make H2 out of water!
