Kerry never "gamed the system" in combat. That is a bald-faced lie. He was in hot and heavy combat way up the Mekong river with very little support for 120 days straight. He was in so many fire fights that he personally is credited with 20+ kills. That's a lot of killing in 120 days. That also means he wounded a lot more. He took three wounds himself, all fairly minor.

Don't let the minor wounds take away from his sterling performance in combat. John Kerry is the real thing. Many have vouched for him including McCain, Hagel, etc. Also 15 out of 16 men who actually fought with him support him 100% and several tell tales of Kerry saving their lives.

The 16th is a head case who killed some non-combatants. Kerry reprimanded him for firing prematurely.
