There is nothing wrong with the Senator having French connections - even if you're hiding them. Wasn't Senator Kerry's mother, born in France (or was that where the Senator's father met his mother)?

At any rate, here are some people who agree with you! LOL!!!

"John Kerry is incredibly American," says Brice Lalonde, Kerry's cousin and mayor of this seaside village in Brittany. 'He has absolutely nothing French about him'....
But that hasn't stopped the Frenchman from pasting Kerry bumper stickers on his car — hardly a common sight in this 16th-century village..."

"...Kerry told The New Yorker magazine that seeing the aftermath of the war in Europe kindled his interest in politics.

'My very first memory — I was 3 years old — is holding my mother's hand and she was crying ... as we walked through the broken glass and rubble of her childhood house in France, which the Germans had used as a headquarters and then bombed and burned as they left,' Kerry was quoted as saying...."

"...Kerry speaks fluent French — a skill that helped pave the way to his second marriage.

He and Teresa Heinz both attended the Earth Summit in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro...They struck up a conversation in French, Lalonde said, "And voila!"

re: "Kerry lived in Vietnam for awhile while he was fighting. Other than that I'm not aware of him ever being in any way "French". Vietnam of course was once a French colony."
