RE: "But am I buying here? Absolutely not."

I am not buying, now, but I will have CDs coming due at the end of 2004 and early 2005. I plan to buy with that money and I have begun to hope that prices don't move up very much from here. If prices do move up, they will be tugged along by rising sales and earnings and visibility that extends further out.

I will be watching the statistics on fab capacity and utilization in weekly wafer starts and comparing these to semi and equip revenue. If the geo-political situation doesn't get any worse, I think we will see an extended period of semi growth without cyclicality. The semi-equips will grow at modest rates, but they will be at high margin levels and will generate lots of cash and fat profits.

The only reason not to buy now is political.
