I watched speeches by both Kerry and Clinton last night on the television. I was impressed with each. Clinton seemed to be trying to redeem himself as a fair, just, and reasonable politition. It looks like he will spend the rest of his life explaining and promoting his image...damage control.

I was most impressed by his advice to people who support his views. He said to stop making personal attacks on Bush. He said if you disagree with something he says or does simply state what you think is a better idea. He said he agrees with the war in Iraq and would even be thrilled if Bush asked us to commit 100k more troups.

Kerry had a similar sensible approach. In his speach he outlined how he would do the things Bush is doing but according to a plan that he believes would be an improvement.

Neither of them reflected the extremes of animus toward the current Administration that appear on this thread.
