I don't know what can change it. Put some real business people in charge for 2 years and make them budget gods who can chop and cut at will with nobody able to second guess them? You know when they come on a line item for the helium consortium that insures we have enough helium for our war time observation balloons, read civil war, they can just say, "give me an f-ing break. your outta here!"

I can't remember who, but one of the founding fathers I believe said if the electorate realizes they can vote themselves money then the country will fail and implode. I'm summarizing of course from memory but you get my gist. Well I think we reached that point back in the 60's and we are on the path to destruction.

And we all like to blame the sitting President for whatever ails us. How about we take a look at those pork barreling SOB's on the hill. I mean the Pres is taking or vetoing what those assholes send him. Byrd comes to mind. Hell he has wasted more money then any of them and I can't vote him out of office.
