Perhaps you can point me to several instances when information like this was widely disseminated to the public? Sure, I have the links. LOL. Seriously, I'm certain I read about it in the Post way back when it was a new issue being debated. I imagine, though, as you say, that if one gets all of one's news from watching just the evening news on one of the networks that there's a good chance to have missed the gory details. Those shows have time constraints and it's not something one covers during the family hour. Again, I'm talking about people who are interested. There are lots of things that uninterested people don't know. Usually we don't stuff them down anyone's throat. If I were going to crusade to inform or to raise the consciousness level of all the ignorant people out there, there are plenty of things more important than this. There are people out there who don't know not to use an electrical appliance while in the bathtub, for heaven's sake. Or that cheeseburgers cause obesity and heart disease. Of that if you smack your kids around, they will grow up to smack others around. The impact of partial birth abortions, however horrific, is very small.
