I can't disagree that there is a very large overlap between the gov't and the mass media. Lavon Affair, USS Liberty, Northwoods are easy enough to Google: geocities.com ussliberty.org gwu.edu abcnews.go.com The risks in these operation did not faze the perpetrators.
