I don't despise Rachel Corrie's politics, nor do I have any problem with her beliefs, or standing up for her beliefs. Those are all, in the abstract, Good Things.

Standing in front of a bulldozer that has ample time to stop is not stupid. It's brave, but risky, possibly foolhardy, except that the IDF doesn't run over activists who give them time to stop.

If an Israeli activist threw herself in front of a moving Palestinian bulldozer under similar conditions, or a Chinese activist threw herself in front of a moving Chinese tank under similar conditions, my reaction would be the same. Stupid thing to do, very stupid.
