Your typical military voter is torn right now, between the simplistic rightwing loyalist mentality (Bush is strong, Kerry is weak, I believe the Bush TV ads) and the General Zinni or General Clark mentality (Bush is a lying, reckless, AWOl draft dodger who rushed us into a failed war and Kerry is a strong, more moderate and more experienced war hero).

What you'll get in the end is a lot of military voters making up their minds at the last minute and maybe not admitting they're going for Kerry but doing so anyway. As Zogby says, most undecideds will break to the challenger not the incumbant because the incumbant is already so well known. I would estimate fully one third of military voters are probably undecided at present. It's Kerry's job to win them over the way he did the Citadel Cadets on Hardball last year. MY prediction is that Kerry will win the majority of military voters, but it will be close.
