<<I think Bush has a greater chance of learning from the mistakes. Kerry is just too torn from his vietnam and post Vietnam war experiences to be a decisive and effective leader imho. Our enemies need to know how are leaders will react. On 9/11 al quaeda blew it because the Bush admin as the clinton admin before had their heads up their butts. Kerry will tempt them to make that mistake again. And in that sense, i, like obl have my doubts that kerry is up to the task. Mike>>>

We hate big business and big government but thats what turns the wheels of society today. Oil and finances. Huge foreign investments in the USA, still the safest place for investments in bonds or equitites. Saudi oil money- big bucks.

The US was looking weak just after 911-vulnerable. How do we look today ? Not so weak , except for the body count in Iraq. Determined, and its the other countries having more trouble wth terrorists than the US.Perhaps we have the answer, perhaps not.

And all business counts on energy from the ME and our actions should stabilize that source. Lots of fields in Iraq remain unexplored, untested. We interrupted the French and Russian work in that area which had more or less stopped anyway because Saddam was impossible to deal with on development projects. Iraq could have much greater reserves than estimated.

Bush is a businessman, Kerry is not. And other countries have had nearly 4 years of dealing with this Administrations representatives and would probably prefer not to see a change.
GWB will have to make an uncommonly serious mistake to lose this Election.
