In 2004 JOINT STOCK COMPANY of "Mosenergo - Moscow Regional
Administration of Power System Management" it was possible to
substantially reduce a quantity of ejections of pollutants into the
atmosphere of Moscow region due to the introduction of
nature-conservation measures and reduction of the use of a solid fuel
at the power stations of energy company.

The protection of environment is one of the main priorities of the
activity of Moscow energy company. JOINT STOCK COMPANY of "Mosenergo - Moscow Regional Administration of
Power System Management" runs the long-term ecological program of
government g. Moscow, calculated up to 2010. In the last decade the energy company never exceeded the established
ecological standards. Reduction in the technogenic action on the environment is achieved due
to the conducting on the branches OF JOINT STOCK COMPANY "Mosenergo -
Moscow Regional Administration of Power System Management" of the
nature-conservation measures: the introduction of new equipment and advanced technologies. Furthermore, the share of natural gas in the fuel balance JOINT STOCK COMPANY of
"Mosenergo - Moscow Regional Administration of Power System
Management" constantly increased in recent years, and it today reached 93%, which also influenced reduction in the ejections. As a result in comparison with the data 1993 the ejections of the
basic pollutants from TES JOINT STOCK COMPANY "Mosenergo - Moscow
Regional Administration of Power System Management" was reduced almost

In four months of 2004 the summary volume of ejections from all power
stations OF JOINT STOCK COMPANY "Mosenergo - Moscow Regional
Administration of Power System Management" in comparison with the
analogous period of past year was reduced almost by 18%. In particular, a quantity of ejections of the oxides of nitrogen (in the conversion
on NO2), the dioxides of nitrogen and mazut resin it decreased by 10%. Ejections into the atmosphere of the ashes of solid fuel were reduced
by 18,5%, and the dioxides of sulfur - to 30%.

In the fraction of the enterprises of power engineering it is fallen
only 5% of the total number of ejections into the atmosphere of Moscow
region. In this case the source of major portion of the ejections of the
pollutants (more than 85%) is truck transport.
