I suspect you are trying to mix and match the concept of life and self awareness.

I am talking neither about life in general existing nor a life form becoming self aware. Apparently neither are you unless you think that self-awareness suddenly rushes in when the umbilical cord is cut. I was talking about when an individual human life is created.

You seem to want the life of a cell at conception to somehow be different from life of a cell after other forms of reproduction. Sure there are differences, but the difference is not that one is alive and the other is dead.

The difference is that one is a human individual and the other is not.

Even for those who believe there is no difference it would be difficult to claim that there is no difference between the cells in your saliva and a fetus at 4 months, let alone a baby after birth before the cord is cut.
