And that each and every one of them turned out to be false. The person who asked him was Senator Carl Levin of Michigan. That reply was the basis for Sen Levin to vote against the war resolution, along with 18 other Senators. I don't know how in a country of 300 million, the government couldn't find one non-idiot for the top CIA job. But obviously it happened. Of course the other explanation is that he is just a yes man who likes to please his boss. And the boss (Cheney) wanted a slam dunk, not an honest answer. I personally believe that what Tenet meant by "slam dunk' is not that big stock piles would be found. But that traces, discarded dumps, etc... could be found that would look credible enough if they were exaggerated a little.
