Brian, I am aware of Luther's beliefs about the end times. But perhaps the greatest thing he ever did in the name of God was to have the courage of his convictions that we are saved by faith alone. He was brilliant. I admire him for the changes he brought about. To think what the Roman Catholic priests were doing to line their pockets. Selling salvation with the stroke of a pen and even saying that they could save dead relatives.
