Disagree.

I think the Reagan funeral, the remembrance, the focus on his values and achievements, will result in a comparison to who Kerry is, his aristocratic values and background, lack of conviction and humility, which will result in a significant advantage to Bush, who will be seen as trying to fulfill the Reagan legacy, though perhaps not as well as Reagan himself would have done. The public will realize that there was only one Reagan, and that his boots will be hard to fill. It will not penalize Bush for not living up to a Grand Old Man, but it will slam Kerry, who has nothing in common with Reagan.

Simply my opinion, undoubtedly biased by my predilections.
