<<...wild and unprincipled capitalism in China will likely thrive, in accordance with the laws of the jungle...>> Will it ever!, and for at least another 25 years. It's a great time for entrepreneurs and those who run their own businesses. And their market is the world. Employees work 9-10 hours a day at fixed daily salaries which eliminate the need of overtime or double shift. They probably can make them work 11-12 hour days when the need arise and at same cost. Employees happily work because there are hundreds willing and waiting to replace them - from Yiwu's report "..Chinese workers have NO labor protection<g> Most of young people have to work 9-10 hrs. a day but paid for only 8 hrs. THey dare not to complain, or they will be laid off and the owner can hire another one who is willing to do the work right away. A lot of friends of mine have to work harder in China than I do in the US.." Message 20199252
