Hi Dale,

I agree that the adulation of Reagan is developing into a full-tilt ridiculous canonization and with the email's point about CNN's coverage.

One thing, though: I've noticed that coverage on 60 Minutes last night, as well as on the Today show focused primarily on Regan as Husband, rather than on details of his Presidency. This, IMO, is the media's way to soft-focus the damage his administration did to the rights of the mentally-ill and those at risk for HIV, as well as the less savory aspects of his presidency, such as Iran-contra.

I'll also add that Reagan the Great Husband was also Reagan the Absent Father until quite late in life.
