It's kind of pathetic to see the media pretending to admire Reagan.

Tell me about it......and they're letting the right get away with their illusion that he single handedly brought down the USSR.

But what really cracks me up is this whole scenario surrounding "the gipper" phrase. I had never seen any of his old movies so I never got the reference of that phrase to him. Well, this weekend, I saw the clip of him in the movie where he's on his death bed and says "play it for the gipper". First, its hilarious.....he's playing a dying man with a deep tan and as wired as someone who had just gotten laid. So much for his acting skills.

Secondly, what is so memorable about that scene? Apparently, its not important how smart or how much our presidents know or even that they were good actors but rather how photogenic they are. <g>
